I have to stop waiting for things
that aren’t going to happen.
Nothing is sentimental because
there’s little that is important or
enough to make a real difference.
Either you see it when
sunlight coming in through
an open window catches
dust in the air
or you nap through
the better hours of the day.
But just like time,
you have to keep moving —
in the direction everyone says
is forward.
