The Real Reason I Can’t Come Back to the Office
Maybe you’ve been paying attention to the news lately, or maybe you’ve heard some corporate high-horse muttering to himself on the sidewalk. But there’s some talk going around about workers “returning to the office”.
What are the polls telling us? Do the people want to go back? Do the people not want to go back? Is it their bosses that want them back, or it is that their bosses don’t want them back either?
Why should we be concerned?
The problem is collaboration and creativity —and the fact that it’s not as effective online. We’re not innovative enough. The technology just isn’t there. It’s not the same. We need human interaction, not computer-human interaction.
No, the problem is real estate.
The issue is rich people. The rich people say it’s poor people. Not in those words exactly, but… if you know, you know.
I don’t know what all the fuss is about, but I do know this.
